Download old versions
Hi,
In order to test upgrades I'm searching to download v5 and v6.1 version for veeam backup and replication.
I'm only able to download the latest version which is v6.5.
Any idea where I can find older version on Veeam Web Site ?
Thanks

Re: Download old versions
I, too, have inherited a box running ESXi 4.1. I'm aware from prior posts that Veeam Backup version 9.5.3 would work with 4.1, but only 9.5.4 is available for download, so, two questions: How can I get 9.5.3 (which I realize is unsupported), and how can I get a license key for it. I'm happy to buy the latest version if that's necessary, but would need to know that the new key would work for the old version. Thanks.

Re: Download old versions
End of life versions are not available for download and licensing due to containing unpatched critical security vulnerabilities. Please use a supported Veeam version and just back up your VMs on ESXi 4.1 with agent-based jobs. Thanks!

Re: Download old versions
Sorry, what does "agent based jobs" mean? Where can I find something that will work with 4.1?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Download old versions
Agent-based means that you install the Veeam Agent for Windows/Linux inside your VMs and backup directly from within the guest OS. After creating the backups you should make sure that you upgrade all the systems to a supported state.

Re: Download old versions
Hmm, thanks. But these are very old versions of FreeBSD. Are there agents for that, and would they backup the vmdk? Appreciate you taking the time for answering.

Re: Download old versions
No, unfortunately FreeBSD is not supported for agent-based backup.
In this case, only the following workaround is left to backup those workloads with Veeam: you could share folders containing important files on each machine SMB or NFS shares and backup important files using NAS backup jobs. Not very clean but will do the job.

Re: Download old versions
Thanks, I'm looking for disaster recovery to restore the vmdks. Good suggestions, maybe I'll look for things that can backup up (to the metal) a vm, so I could at least create new vm's and restore the os, etc. to it.
