So, I'm going to download 3.0.1, but is there a way to download it other than through the trial download area? Then I have to fill in all the info. every time I need to download an update? Not a huge deal, but would be nice...

Dave, when you first registered for Veeam Backup, you should have received email with trial license that also contains your personal link to download area - you can use this link forever.
