DRS Clarification please

We are evaluating Veeam 3.1 Trial version and I have been finding that (when apparently DRS kicks in), some of the recurring scheduled backups I've been creating for tests are not working.
The report contains the message "Object" servername was not found in Hierarchy T as there are no objects to backup.

I have been reading this thread:

and am still somewhat confused about DRS and Veeam.

Can anyone clarify/confirm the following question for me:
In the initial installation of Veeam, should the Virtual Center Server have been configured first and then the ESX ESXi hosts?
Would this then allow Veeam to automatically follow the VM server?

Or have I got the wrong and of the stick?

Hello Mike, you only need to add vCenter Server to Veeam Backup, you do not need to add individual hosts. If your job is configured through vCenter server, you will not have sich issue.
