[Feature Request] E-mails on Restore Completion

Post by TimBackup »

We just did a practice DR over the weekend and we thought e-mail notifications of successful/failed Restores would be quite nice.

We were doing entire VM recoveries and it would have been nice to not have to check the console. Either lumping restores in with the global e-mail settings or a screen for what e-mail ID to notify when setting up the restore job would be awesome.

Maybe it is already planned for V7?

Hello Tim,

Could you please clarify did you set the notifications in the General E-Mail Notification Settings "on success like it is described here?

Thank you

Yes, we have that set on our Veeam Server. We get the notifications for all of the backup jobs that run each night but it did not send any notifications for the restores.

I just double checked the mailbox we have the alerts sent to and verified that there are no messages for any of the restore jobs.

Got it, thank you for the update.
I would investigate the possibility of getting email notifications on restores.
