Dear Veeamers,
What effect does changing the Veeam replica suffix (for example, "_replica" to "_replica1") have on the replication job? Will the job create a new replica at the next run or will it just rename the old replica in VmWare and on the storage?
Currently when we need to reset replication for a VM we create a new job and I would like to know if this process could be shortened simply by changing the suffix.
Best Regards,
Mihai

Re: Effect of suffix changes
Hi, Mihai. Most likely, changing name will make no difference, because replica VMs are matched with moRef by the job. To achieve what you want, you should simply disable the existing job, and create the new one. The new replication job will create the new replica VM. Thanks!

Re: Effect of suffix changes
Hi Gostev,
Thank you very much for your fast reply. We'll continue to reset replication with new jobs as indicated.
Best Regards,
Mihai
