EM set Restore Operator scope to specific databases

Post by fraack »

Dear Community,

I faced a challenge at one of my largest customers. They are running a giant SQL Availability group with hundreds of databases. Some application administrator want to perform self service restore operations for their databases. Enterprise Manager is so far a good tool to deligate restore permissions. Unfortunately I just have the option to set the restore scope to a specific VM. This works for many of my customers. For security ristrictions this customer wants to set the restore scope to a specific database for the desired users.

Is there something like this planned for a future release?

thank you
Florian
