We have made few changes in the VEEAM environment and since then the email job alerts are not working. 01778426
Prior to this change, we only had an VEEAM Administrator group and it had VEEAM backup administrator role
there were few users who were a part of this group
however we created a new AD group "VEEAM Backup users" and assigned it Backup Operator/Viewer rights within VEEAM console and then moved few users from the existing VEEAM Admin AD group to this backup Operator/Viewer group and since then the email alerts are not working
I have double checked the service account for "VEEAM Backup Service" and it is in the Admin group however still the issue persists
Looking at the logs it appears that there are ACCESS Denied errors in post processing of job.
any insights will be great

Does the account specified in e-mail settings still has appropriate rights to SMTP server?

It all was sorted...when I manually assigned the VEEAM Backup Administrator right explicitly to the VEEAM service account
