[FEATURE REQUEST] EMC Unity Snapshot-only job support

I have just came across v9.5 User guide https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95
and I have found out Snapshot-only job support for EMC VNX(e) is missing.
EMC Unity is officially supported from v9.0 Update 2 but it not even listed in v9.5 User Guide.

I have successfully tested EMC Unity snapshots in my environment but without snapshot-only job support feature my enterprise plus licensing is useless in my case.

Is this something you have in the works ?

Hi Felipe, thanks for the heads up, we'll update the documentation. As for your feature request, then this functionality is not on our short-term roadmap.

We do fully support snapshots created by the native storage snapshot scheduler though.

We have a 15TB Exchange VM I would like to backup using snapshot-only job without transferring data to external repository.
Application aware processing is required to truncate Exchange logs therefore I cannot use native storage snapshot scheduler.

Currently using Commvault intellisnap storage snapshots with 31days retention. It works fine but it is a physical server

We would like to use Enterprise plus licensing when EMC Unity storage-only job feature becomes available.
It looks like we have to stick with Commvault for longer than desired.

Understood the snapshot part, but do you perform real backups for that VM? Or are those snapshots your only "backups", and you're just hoping you'll never lose the storage itself?
