I recently came across something I was hoping to get some clarity on. We're currently using B&R 12 and all of my backup jobs and configuration jobs are set to use encryption passwords. I just realized that there is an option under the Access Permissions of the our on-site repositories to "Encrypt backups stored in this repository."
Can someone explain to me how this differs from setting the encryption password on each job? Does this option need to be enabled in addition to the encryption password set on each job?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Encrypting repository vs. Backup Job
Hi Nate,
The option you're talking about is described on this page:
Thanks!
The option you're talking about is described on this page:
You don't need to enable this option if you don't have Veeam Agents working in the standalone mode, the job-level encryption is absolutely fine.To encrypt backup files created in the backup repository by Veeam Agents operating in the standalone mode, select the Encrypt backups stored in this repository check box
Thanks!
