hello
we have to backup flows
1. backup to a local repository and then copy to a remote location
2. backup to a local repository and then copy to tape
Under the local repository settings I have enabled the "encrypt backups stored in this repository"
When the copy jobs to the remote repository or to the tape library happen, will they remain encrypted or I must check the encryption option for each job again?
Also If I enable the encryption at the job level, for the local repository, do I have to do the same for the copy jobs or the data remain encrypted?
And an additional question mostly related to Veeam One, under the reports, even though the option I mentioned is checked I cannot find a section that will state that the backups are encrypted. Is there a way to get a report that the data is encrypted?
Thanks
Ioannis

Re: Encryption of backups
Just so you know - the said option relates to agent backups only. For other backups you have to specify encryption key on job level.Under the local repository settings I have enabled the "encrypt backups stored in this repository"
Backup to tape job will preserve encryption, while backup copy job will not. When the copy jobs to the remote repository or to the tape library happen, will they remain encrypted or I must check the encryption option for each job again?

Re: Encryption of backups
You're welcome. If you're after backup copy job encryption, enable it here. Thanks.
