Enterprise Manager--how long does it retain FLR files?

Hi,

Anyone know how long EM retains files restored using the FLR ("Files" tab in EM), that are accessible via the "download" link?

Dave, files are stored in the temporary location (C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\WebRestore) and are periodically cleaned up by Veeam B&R – files older than 24 hours are automatically deleted. And there's no setting to configure this interval.

Thanks much for the quick reply. The manual notes that the download links are removed from the EM "view history" -->log area, but doesn't note that the files are also restored. (Could you let your documentation folks know about that, or should I open a support case?)

Do you mean that the user guide should clearly state that the corresponding files are also removed from the temporary location after 24 hours?

Exactly. Enduser concern is that the files may be confidential, and leaving them on the EM server as permanent temporary files is a concern. Since the docs note about the link being removed, it would be easy enough to add "and the files" to that section. (Page 47 in EM 6.5 user guide, Jan 2013 revision)
