Enterprise Manager reverts web.config settings on upgrade

Post by jasonede » 1 person likes this post

Just a small niggle, but every time we upgrade Enterprise Manager we need to reset the useWindowsAuth flag and re-add the applicationURL key to web.config. Couldn't the upgrade procedure keep these settings? I know both can be changed without a restart of services, but it's a pain to have to re-do them each time.

Hi Jasonede,

We are aware of the need (it was requested several times now) and will try to preserve web.config settings in one of the following releases.
Probably, entire configuration.appSettings section could be skipped on upgrade.

/Thanks!
