Enterprise Plus licensing

Post by thuizenga »

Can you let us know the ballpark price difference for renewing a socket of Enterprise vs Enterprise Plus. According to your website (http://www.veeam.com/buy-veeam-backup-replication.html) the upfront costs are 2,000 for enterprise plus and 1250 for enterprise, but I am unable to find anything about maintenance pricing.

Trying to figure out if the "Free" upgrade to enterprise plus is a good choice for us or now.

Also can someone clarify if the Built-in WAN acceleration is an enterprise plus feature or not. I am thinking that it is, i had that in my notes from a demp and on http://www.veeam.com/buy-veeam-backup-replication.html it shows as being an enterprise plus feature. Then when you look at http://www.veeam.com/backup-version-sta ... how-to-buy it's listed as both an enterprise and enterprise plus feature.

Thanks,

I believe, maintenance is 20% or 25% off MSRP price. Best to check with our sales, because there might be discounts for buying more than 1 year, or some other specials... and prices also vary per region.

You can find all the information on v7, including editions comparison here > http://go.veeam.com/v7

Seems like incorrect wording as it is clearly stated above that built-in WAN acceleration is only available in Enterprise Plus Edition. Will pass that to the web team, thanks.

Oh, I am sorry. Did not read the last paragraph carefully, thought you were just looking for the edition comparison document.

I guess it doesn't matter if it is more expensive to renew the Enterprise Plus version... Because when renewing, can't you simply renew with regular Enterprise product if the price was too high to renew Enterprise Plus?

No, that wouldn't work. Once you upgrade to Enterprise Plus edition, you will have to renew your maintenance based on the new price during the next renewal cycle. Hope this helps.

[MERGED] Enterprise Plus upgrade

Post by zoltank »

I want to take advantage of the free Enterprise Plus upgrade currently available because we might need the WAN acceleration in the coming 6 months. However, if we don't, can I downgrade my licenses when it's time for renewal to save on the renewal costs?

The answer is right above ;) Once you claim the free upgrade, it is not possible to downgrade to the lower Veeam B&R edition, so you will have to pay full price of Enterprise Plus renewal.

Is this still the case?

I currently have 12 VB&R Enterprise Plus licenses and we simply don't need/use any functionality above Enterprise. I'd really like to downgrade my licenses to Enterprise to save on the maintenance renewal and any further licenses we might need to buy.
