Error/failure during Exchange backup

Before I created a support ticket I thought I would start here first. During an Exchange server backup I am receiving the follow error: Error: Failed to wait mutex perlsoap 172.16.x.x: timeout 100 sec exceeded

The 172.16.x.x IP address is an one of several interfaces on our Exagrid appliances. Does that error message indicate some sort of network communication issue to the Exagrid appliance interface? The Veeam job failed withing 5 minutes of starting and all the retries failed as well.

Hi Dave, better let support take a look at this. Could be related to the storage load as well.
