support case ID 03028449
I am trying to install 9.5 rev 3 and after messing with it now for about two days I am quite lost.
all I get is "exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" near the end of the install, then it all backs out, but it leaves all the sql stuff behind.
A few things I have tried:
1) check my env variable to ensure its less than 2048 chr it is 572
2) remove all traces of sql reboot and try again...
3) log in as local admin
4) run all windows updates.
ok a few details, this is a domain workstation windows 7 pro and I am the enterprise admin.
there is a psql database engine on the workstation but I don't think that's interfering.
any ideas?
Thanx

Re: error installing
The fastest solution would probably be to reinstall Windows on this workstation. It sounds like either the current OS install is borked, or some 3rd party software is causing a conflicts. Using a clean OS install will always work since this is how we test the product. Thanks!

Re: error installing
ya I am really hoping to avoid that as I have a lot of bits of software loaded on this work station...
reloading all the things I need to support my customers is going to take forever....
