Error on virtual appliance backup, how to remove local disk
Hi, I am taking backup with virtual appliance mode. No I had error on one backup and that "extra" local disk is shoving on my Veeam backup server. How can I remove that local disk safely?

Re: Error on virtual appliance backup, how to remove local disk
Hi
Edit the settings on the VM and you will see the extra disks. Just select the disk that you don't want then click remove. Default option is to remove from the configuration and leave the disk (ie it doesn't delete the disk).
I'm running 2008 R2 VM version 7 for the appliance and can do this while the VM is running. I suspect that you will need to shutdown if you have Server 2003.
After removing the disk from the appliance you should remove the snapshot from the guests that you were backing up.
Regards
Chris
