Hello Tan,

Which network settings did you specify for your virtual lab?

Hi Tan, I am not sure what do you mean by "manually log into virtual lab from console" as there is no such object as "virtual lab" that you can "login" to. If you mean proxy appliance, then the fact that you see login prompt tells me that appliance booted normally, but probably on different network from Veeam Backup server, so proxy appliance cannot reach Veeam Backup server. This sounds like incorrect virtual lab configuration (if you used static IP for connection of proxy appliance into production), or incorrect IP granted by DHCP, or no IP granted to appliance by DHCP at all (196.254.x.x automated private IP address assigned to appliance). In any of these cases, proxy appliance will not be able to notify Veeam Backup server that it is ready, and SureBackup job will timeout waiting for proxy appliance in 10 mins.

If you cannot see what's wrong, please open a case directly with out support case to troubleshoot this further.

Alexey,
I am using "proxy" and "Obtain automatically" for IP and DNS server for Production.
Thanks

May be your DHCP is set to only give out IP addresses to known MACs?
Our support will be able to see what IP settings were given to proxy appliance by DHCP.

Gostev,
I see now. I have wrong vSwitch for Production network. Can I use the same vSwitch for Real and virtual lad production network?
Thanks

Actually, virtual lab creates its own vSwitch at the end of its wizard, when the lab is being created/deployed. You do not get to pick vSwitch to use for isolated network.

Gostev,
I have to read user guide again to figure out about virtual lab. It is kind of confusing.
Thanks

You just need to pay attention to descriptions in virtual lab wizard UI ;) don't really need to even open UG to deploy the virtual lab. Also, check out sticky FAQ topic for some common questions about virtual labs.
