Hello,
Please, I need some help to define how much capacity of additional disk I need in my on-premise repository considering that I will create a SOBR with a capacity tier (Object storage). To be more specific:
I have 4 workloads, 1TB each one, lets assume that my on-premise repository (performance capacity) needs 10 TB for keeps on-premise backups. Then, I want to keep backups of only 2 workloads in cloud using SOBR, so I suppose that I have to consider additional TBs for a full backup of each workload that I want send to cloud? Will need 12TB?
Thanks
Rolando

Re: Estimating aditional capacity for SOBR
Hi Rolando,
The standard estimation for full backup is 50 % of total size of all VMs processed by backup job. I'd suggest to play with this restore point simulator, it might be very useful to estimate the required free space.
Thanks!
