ESX host disconnects during VCB backup

Hi,

Our hosts randomly disconnect from Virtual Center during the backup. When i check the servers in the morning i notice the disconnected server:

- I try to reconnect it but that fails.
- I try to restart the management services but still after that the reconnect fails
- SSH is unavailible on the affected host.

Is this a known issue with VCB? Should it be possible to use more then one queue in VEEAM and if yes, could two backup queue's contain the same ESX servers?

Hello, no I never heard about VCB causing such issues. We have not heard similar reports before either. Can you ping the affected host from your VCB proxy server when connections start failing?

Yes pinging is no problem. I've searched in the VMWare communities base and noticed more people with this problem, it seems to be caused by VCB.

Should it be possible for me to run two or more backup queue's at the same time in our network?

Yes, if I am not mistaken VCB supports up to 8 concurrent backups.

And unfortunately problems often arise when running more than two or three concurrent VCB jobs.
