Hello, I have a customer with one physical host with free version of ESXi 4
If I buy Vmware license for ESXi, can I use Veeam 4.1 to backup this host without installing vCenter? Or I need vCenter?
Thanks for any suggestion
Marco

Re: ESXi 4 (licensed) backup
I don't see any reason why vCenter would be required, you can simply add the ESX host directly to Veeam. We backup our vCenter server this way now, seems to work fine.

Re: ESXi 4 (licensed) backup
I've tested right now and it works! No vCenter needed
