I've looked through as much of the Veeam documenation on their site, and cannot find anywhere that explicitly says ESXi FREE is or is not supported as a target for replication.
Looking through the forums, it appears that ESXi free once was ok as a replication target, but is no longer?
Can anyone point me to a real document that explicitly verifies one way or another? Concerning the target.
Thanks -

Re: ESXi Free as Replication target?
Hello, currently ESXi free is not supported altogether, either as source or target, for backup or replication.
This is stated in the first lines of System Requirements section in the Release Notes document.

ESXi free was never supported as a replication target.
