Hello,
#03875824
I need to evac a refs volume, to another ReFS volume.
Source is around 8T with "disk usage" of around 40T
Target is around 24T with around 3T free and "disk usage" of around 45T
Most of the data on source is already on target.
Is it possible to tell ReFS to process the data after (or during) evac on target refs volume ?

Re: Evac to refs - block cloning
Hello,
Block cloning won't work since extents are on different volumes. Thanks!

Re: Evac to refs - block cloning
Is there a way to do post-processing of the data to "block-clone" it ?
An example of this feature on XFS is https://github.com/markfasheh/duperemove

Re: Evac to refs - block cloning
No.
There's just too much hassle to approach it this way.
We just need to create block cloning aware internal transport one day, and use that for evac.
