ExaGrid best practices for v9?

With v9 are the ExaGrid best practices from https://www.veeam.com/kb2056 (written for v8) still valid?

These are currently being updated to match v9 information. However you can still use these settings which should work fine.

By the way, we received a launch update from ExaGrid support only 3/4 days after the v9 launch. ExaGrid support seems really focussed on supporting Veeam.

Agree that ExaGrid and Veeam seem to cooperate very well. Of course my v9 is working fine without changing any settings. Specifically I was wondering how the advice might change now with the new repository settings of "per-VM files". Also the bitlooker settings.

The new Veeam v9 features that you can utilize with ExaGrid include:
-per-VM backup file setting in Veeam repositories
-the “read from source backup” optimization to Veeam backup copy jobs

Please note that scale-out backup repositories cannot be used at this time. This will be supported in a future release.

I'd consult with Exagrid on whether the particular model performs better with per-VM backup chain setting, since, as far as I know, some (smaller) models do not seem to be good candidates for this.
