Exchange 2010 copy NOT backup
So my exchange 2010 environment is on ESX and I have SMVI replication as a DR for my environment and the replication between my NetApp storage actually does the Exchange log commit. For many reasons of not wanting to make any changes as that would affect my SLA in a DR, I would like to have Veeam BU make a copy of my exchange DB to a local NAS where by it does NOT flush logs. Is this possible and if so can I use that copy to do a restore of a user mailbox item if needed?

Sure, just disable transaction log pruning in the advanced application-aware processing settings for this VM. Doing this will not affect any other Veeam features or capabilities.
