Exchange 2013 recovery parameters

Is it possible to retrieve mail from a backup or replication of an inbox using parameters?

I am looking to retrieve mail that has been backed up for a user who has deleted mail older than a specific date. The users has A LOT of folders and would take a long time to go through these individually and restore. Is there a way to recovery and restore mail from the whole mailbox prior to a specific date?

I know this maybe asking too much of the system.

The user has informed me that these e-mails were deleted sometime ago but I have checked the archives and I do have them. I am looking at the easiest and most efficient way of getting them back.
