Hi All
First of all - big thanks to Veeam for letting us at this beta. Fantastic product with great potential. Exported mailbox data first time with no issues whatsoever (from .EDBs in a dirty shutdown state).
We have a problem with the folder structure of the exported PSTs, though:
If we right-click on a mailbox, and import it to a PST in its entirety, the folder structure of the resulting PST is this:
DisplayName
----Inbox
----Sent Items
----Deleted Items
--------DisplayName
------------Deleted Items
------------Inbox
------------Junk E-Mail
------------News Feed
------------Outbox
etc.
When we try to import the PST into a mailbox using PowerShell, rather than importing folders into their 'like-for-like' counterparts, they import exactly as it does above. i.e. there are now two 'In boxes', two 'Sent Items' etc.
Using the New-MailboxImportRequest command with the -SourceRootFolder option, and choosing 'DisplayName', it doesn't import anything.
Is Exchange Explorer creating/exporting the Mailboxes correctly? Is there a way to export the folder hierarchy, and have it match the source mailbox rather than at a sub-folder further down?
Let me know if I'm not explaining myself correctly.
Many thanks for any help..
Cheers, James

Re: Exchange Explorer - PST Folder Structure
Thanks James, we are testing the same scenario with this PowerShell cmdlet.

Hi Gostev
Apologies - just found out that this might be a false alarm.. we're doing some further testing ourselves. Not sure where the confusion initially was. Feel free to hold off on this one - I'll let you have further details as and when.
Cheers, James

Re: Exchange Explorer - PST Folder Structure
You don't have a folder view enabled in Outlook on the screenshot to the left, but you do on the right one.
