Background.
Original Install was Veeam B&R 6.5.
Upgraded to Veeam 7 and applied latest patch.
I am not sure when this started or if it was there from the beginning but I have noticed that several of our user mailbox icons have a red NO SYMBOL (circle with a line through it) when I go to do an item level restore for exchange. The users items all seem to be backed up.
Does anyone know what this icon/symbol means?
thanx,
rob...

Re: Exchange Item Level Recovery - "No Symbol" through user
Hello Rob,
As far as I remember this sign is used for user mailboxes that have been deleted from the Exchange server. These mailboxes are still stored in the database in case you want to perform a recovery action for them.
Thank you!

Re: Exchange Item Level Recovery - "No Symbol" through user
Dear all,
I suppose I can explain.
If a mailbox is moved from on DB to another, then it leaves a "deleted" Mailbox in the old DB. I'm not shure when Exchange will purge this old MBX.
Thanks
Volker

Correct, those are moved or deleted mailboxes that will fall out from the database by retention specified on Exchange and then, consequently, from backup as well.
