recent upgrade to veeam8 p1, exchange 2010 and now testing item restore from enterprise manager. Backups are working fine and complete successfully.
when searching for a user I get a popup stating the specified domain does not exist or cannot be contacted.
I am able to spin up explorer from RDP session on veeam backup server.

Re: Exchange restore from ent mgr
Hi Jayme,
Where is Enterprise Manager located at? Seems like a DNS issue to me. Can you resolve the DNS name of Exchange server from the EM machine?
Thanks!

Re: Exchange restore from ent mgr
Vitaliy,
Thank you for the reply. I have 2 datacenters with MetroE for connectivity. I have a veeam server at each datacenter (all VMware on cisco UCS). DAG members are at each datacenter but backup is targeting one specific exchange server - enterprise manager is in the opposite datacenter. I can ping mail server name, domain as well as DAG

Re: Exchange restore from ent mgr
After messing with this for a while I now receive another error stating veeam failed to find CAS server. Error: Failed to get find server FQDN.
I found http://forums.veeam.com/veeam-backup-re ... 24045.html
is this a known problem?
FYI: My exchange environment is load balanced by 2 barracuda vLB with 2 CAS servers in primary datacenter, another in secondary. 2 DAG members in primary, another in secondary. Veeam is targeting one mailbox server in primary datacenter.

Since issues are typically prioritized based on the numbers of support cases opened, I would recommend opening your own ticket and letting support team to confirm your problem. Thanks.
