Hi guys,
was attempting to trial the new exchange item restore and I had to install the Enterprise version to get this to install, which I am very dissapointed with.
So some questions:-
a) Is this a requirement? (in which case a lot of my customers will not be able to use this, Enterprise is TOO expensive and small guys do not NEED this functionality, only Exchange restore (or SQL/AD)
b) Are you going to include enterprise in the Essentials bundle for 5, in which case this would be a reasonable option?
c) What's the ETA for Exchange 2010 support?
thanks

Re: Exchange Restore requires Enterprise license?
Hello Peter,
a. That's correct, Application-Item Recovery is shipped with Enterprise version of Veeam Backup and Replication only. You may want to check out other differences between Standard and Enterprise versions:
http://www.veeam.com/files/veeam_backup ... _cs_ee.pdf
b. Actually, we've already included this offering to our Essentials and Management bundles, please look through the links below:
http://www.veeam.com/smb.html#fragment-6

c. As regards to Exchange 2010 support, please have a look at the following topic and continue posting there:

P.S. I'm not a sales person, so I do recommend you contacting our sales representative for more information about all available options and current sales promos.
Thanks!
Vitaliy

Re: Exchange Restore requires Enterprise license?
OK thanks, but it looks as though veeam essentials does not come with Enterprise Veeam, only essentials plus . We have recently started selling veeam mainly due to simplicity of software and licensing but it now looks as though you are quickly catching up on Price, Complexity and wrongly-matched features.
I think you need to re-think your Small business bundles. Easy Backup and Item-level restore essential. VM Monitoring, replication, etc etc NOT Essential for small one-or-two-servers sites.
