Exchange Transaction log truncation
Hi,
We use Veeam to backup our Exchange environment of 2 Mailbox servers and one CAS server.
We have set to use "Incremental" with "Enable syntehtic full (forever-incremental)" every Saturday.
We have Enable application-aware image processing ticked.
My question regards the truncation of the transaction logs.
Each run says Truncating transaction log success but duration is only around 6 seconds.
So, do the logs get truncated on each run or only when a Synthetic Full is done?
Thanks for any help.
Dave C.

Hi Dave,
Logs are truncated on each job run. What Exchange server version do you use and what is the backup server version?
Thanks!

Thanks Vitaly,
We use Exchange Server 2010 and Veeam Backup & Replication 7.0. (7.0.0.764).
We have just had an issue where the disk used to hold the logs filled and Mail flow stopped for our customer.

Re: Exchange Transaction log truncation
Do you see any events about logs truncation in the Windows log of the Exchange server?

Hmm...you say that there are two mailbox servers. Are these servers part of DAG by any chance?
