exclude VM from "application-aware processing"

Post by roms »

How to exclude one or more VM from "application-aware processing" or/and "guest file system indexing" in backup or replication job? The remove button is not active.

Rachman, click Edit and select the 'Disable application processing' option. Thanks.

I have a Feature request @foggy / @gostev :

assume you have a backupjob which is going to process all VMware datastores where the vms reside on with AAP enabled you are not allowed / you don't have the option to exlucde a specific vm for AAP.

where the Problem comes around:
- Datastores with VMs with Oracle Instance in noarchivelog mode
The backupjob will restart each Oracle instance because of the AAP Settings on the datastores

The Option for excluding the AAP Setting for the specific vm's on the datastores would be nice

Hi Marius, you can configure custom application-aware processing settings for individual VMs at the Guest Processing step of the job wizard.
