Re: [VHRISO] expand capacity
Hello,
expanding LVM works the same as in any other Linux. There are no modifications from Veeam side. After the logical volume was expanded, you also need to grow the file system.
There are at least two ways:
1) use live boot, enable SSH and chroot into the system. Disabling SELinux with "setenforce 0" removes the need to re-label files if files are changed (didn't test it myself, but it might even work without disabling selinux)
2) unlock the root account via single user mode (this requires autorelabel because of SE-linux. I personally tend to avoid that). Then edit the SSH configuration files to allow root login or add the vhradmin to the wheel group. Set SSH to auto-start. Once all changes are done, revert the root account, SSH settings etc.
Best regards
Hannes
PS: I also added you +1 to the feature request to add "expand storage" in the user interface

Re: [VHRISO] expand capacity
I take it the new JeOS VHR does not have the extend option yet either? So +1 for me too.

[MEGED][RELEASE] Managed Hardened Repository ISO by Veeam
Hi all,
I installed two HPE Alletra 4120 with the Veeam LHR ISO. The servers have 12 Disks with the idea to add another 12 disks if needed. How is the procedure to extend the repo? Add the disk to the server, extend to raid with the raid management tool and extend the file system on linux? Is it correct, that I would need to enable ssh and login that way to extend the filesystem? Does the ssh user has enough privileges to do this?
thanks
Patrick

That is the process and you need to be in single user mode for this to get proper access to the OS. Then as mentioned above extend the system as per Linux and then reboot.redZonk wrote: ↑Aug 29, 2025 8:59 am Hi all,
