Can you please rephrase your question? If you export a backup, it is a separate file from the job backups and will not be deleted if that is what you are asking.

Hello,

I think the question is whether the original backup created by a backup job will be deleted after the export procedure or not, and the answer is no, the original backup will not be deleted.

Backups can be deleted only by the retention policy that is configured in job settings or manually from Veeam B&R console. Also, I'd recommend considering the implementation of a hardened repository with enabled Immutability to protect data from loss as a result of malware activity or unplanned user actions.

Thanks!
