Exported backup not being removed

Hi
we do a final Export Backup of VM before deleting them, setting 1 year as retention. Now after a year has passed we believe the exported backups should have been removed from inventory and disk but we still see a restore point created 200529 still exist. We write the export to our Data Domains and if I look at the folders they are called "servername_2019-05-29_2020-05-29" anfthe VBM files is called the same. But this restore point is still on disk and in inventory.
So questions:
- Is this not suppose to be fdone automatically by Veeam?
- How often and what process are responsible for the above?
- Where do Veeam store logs for removing (or not removing) restore points autmatically?
