Hi there
Consider the following scenario: There's a backup job which saves vm A to E, 2 save-points, runs weekly every Friday, deleted VM retention to 14 days. If I delete VM E, is there a way to extend the retention of just this savepoint to say 28 days? I know the way to save the vbk "offsite", but could this be handled "locally" as well?
And second, if I extend the deleted VM retention period to 28 days on this job, the save-points for vms created prior this change will be deleted after 14 days after the vm has been deleted. Is there a way to extend this setting to the current save-points as well?
Many thanks, Christian

Re: Extend retention time of deleted vm
Hi, Christian.
The option responsible for amount of time during which restore points of deleted VM will be kept can be specified in Job Settings -> Storage -> Advanced -> Advanced -> VM retention.
This setting does care only about actual parameter, so, there wouldn’t be any issues in case of you having firstly deleted VM and only then setting the necessary value (28).
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
