Folks,
I was just reading about the B&R Extract Utility in the help center. There it says:
"The extract utility does not work with backups that are stored on scale-out backup repositories."
So, since we are storing ALL our backups and backup copies on SOBR, we have no use at all for this utility?

Re: Extract utility
Hello Per,
Officially, this is correct, however, the reason behind this requirement is simple: Extract Utility requires all backup files belonging to a single backup chain to be stored on the same storage. Thus, if you use the data locality placement policy on SOBR you should be able to restore this way. Alternatively, in case of a DR, you may spin up a backup server on your laptop, import configuration backup and start performing restores.
Thanks
