Failed to find valid gateway

Hello, i have multiple job run sequently and job number 1 until 7 is running normally, when VBR run job number 8 i got
Error: Failed to find valid gateway server for non-scheduled repository Backup Repository 2: [JKTVEEAM02] Failed to check whether file or folder \\fileserver\BACKUP.VEEAM02 exists.
The another try get error
Failed to find scheduled gateway server for task eb9c31be-5d9d-4b39-ae3c-1de93787443e and repository 5350e8b4-c1e0-4582-b6a5-638418ce4e85
.

Anyone know about that error?

Hi Handian

This looks like it could be a known issue. Older builds of v12 had a known issue with the automatic gateway server selection. As a workaround, you may try to disable automatic selection and assign dedicated gateway server for your SMB share repository:

Can you please confirm your backup server build? Are you on 12.0.0.1420 P20230718?
If you are on 12.0.0.1420 P20230718 and the workaround solves the issue, I would be glad if you can open a support case to provide us with the log files.

Yes, my version is 12.0.0.1420 P20230718. Let i change to manually and open support case if error occured.

Was this fixed ever attempted?

Did assigning the dedicated gateway to access the SMB share resolve the error on your end?

I still have this problem on 12.0.0.1420 P20230718. Already have the gateway assigned. Is there any further information available?
