Failed to load backup meta from file (9.5)

Veeam Logoby chrishashem » Wed Nov 23, 2016 3:45 pm

case id 01983610

Our upgrade to 9.5 worked fine for a couple days, but suddenly a few backup jobs and copy jobs are failing. I spoke to support and they advised this is a known issue with no work around until a bug fix is created. The error in the job states: "Attribute 'Hint' was not found" and then digging into the logs we found "Failed to load backup meta from file."

This has not happened to all of my backup jobs, only a couple so far. The ones that are experiencing the issue are encrypted backups. Support did not seem to think that encryption was related to the bug. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

For now I'm kind of stuck creating a new backup job and doing a full backup each time. Support seemed to indicate that a new job would succeed the first time, but fail on the next run. So there may be a daily task for me to create a new backup job until the issue is resolved.

Same Problem here:
- one backup job fails with "Error: Attribute 'ServerName' was not found" after upgrading to 9.5
- this job has no emcryption

And I have no memory of ever creating that attribute.

Any helpful ideas?

[MERGED] "Error: Attribute 'ServerName' was not found" after

Veeam Logoby dropped91 » Tue Dec 06, 2016 7:57 am

Hi,
after update from Veeam 9.0 to Veeam 9.5 some Backupsjobs failed with the following message:
"Error: Attribute 'ServerName' was not found".
It seems so that the first run of a new created backupjobs works fine but the next runs failed with the above error message.

Support Case #01995869

Any ideas?

Hi all,
have same problem with only one job. Unfortunatley it's our main job with more than 140 VMs in it.
Other jobs and also replication jobs are running fine.
Have opened case but until now no update. Just uploaded bunch of logs etc.
The first run after upgrade to 9,5 has failed only for 5 VMs. Yesterdays 2nd run failed for all VMs. Really annoying....
Hope that support can fix isuses asap

Cheers
Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,
If you have the same issue you may refer to the support cases mentioned above in the thread.
By the way, could you provide your case number?
Thanks!
