Failed to Transform Backups Chain

One of our backups which is setup as synthetic with the transform option was running when the QNAP NAS rebooted. What will happen with the backup data? Does it need to be recreated from scratch or will it be ok?

It will be ok. The subsequent job run will repair the current state of the VBK file to the last known good state, and will remove the incomplete VRB file. Once this is done the job will continue the transform process normally.
