I think it would be extremely handy to have the possibility to add annotations to particular restore points (or second best, just for a single VM as a whole, not a restore point). For example, if an issue is corrected on a particular VM - you can add an annotation that all backups from a particular point (in this case, the next backup) have that issue resolved. Another example is to give a particular backup point an annotation, that 'this' exact point is certified virus/malware free and must be used for all restores. An optional email alert when an annotation is added could be a nice additional feature as well.
I'm sure there is other scenarios, but I hope you get my point here
