Feature request: Backup copy older restore points rather than only starting from the current restore point

Hello Veeam Team,

Can you please take a look on this feature request:

Feature request regarding the ability to have the backup copy job copy older restore points rather than only starting from the current restore point.

We want to copy older restore points from Veeam Azure backups to a VBR server On-premise, but by now the only option available is to copy the latest restore point.

We have a registry key which allows you to copy not only the active chain, any available restore point will be processed. It should work when copying Azure backups. I don‘t have access to my lab right now to confirm it.
The registry key requires an immediate backup copy job.

Please note:
It won‘t be a 1:1 copy. All restore points will be copied, but source full backup restore points will be copied as incremental backups.

In our scenario, we want to copy only the monthly backup that runs first day of month on Azure (from jan, feb, march..) is it possible with this key enabled?

Or this key will enable to copy all the restore points available for a VM?

This key will allow you to copy all existing source backups, not just the monthly restore points.
Currently there is no feature available in veeam which would solve your request to copy only „older monthly“ backups. We will count it as a feature request.

We will have to see on how many requests (Copy all older backups) we get for it. As a workaround there is the reg key (all older backups).

If this is about copy only new monthly backups, you can use a periodic copy job and run in once per month. This will copy the latest restore point available from your Azure Backup.
