Feature Request : Backup file comparison reporting option

There doesn't appear to be any way to pull off a comparison report on files and folder prior to doing a restoration. I am aware that comparison is available for AD and Exchange but not standard files. This is something which I would have expected to be standard in backup and recovery products. Being able to review a report and see the difference in files and folder numbers in the backup compared to what is in production would be extremely helpful; also being able to see the folder and file names where there are differences.

Is this something which is planned or under current development ?
