Feature Request - Create report with job settings

Post by dimaslan »

As service providers, we very often have to provide customers with info on jobs, check job settings and of course do audits to make sure we are on the same page with the customers regarding backup job settings like schedules and retention.
Even within the team, we sometimes want to get a quick overview of what a backup server has configured.
So far, all of this is done by hand and it's become very hard to do with 100's of jobs running on multiple servers.
Would it be possible to create a report not for failed or successful backups, but with one including a selectable set of variables for jobs, like job name, VM name, schedule, retention, whether synth/active full is enabled, etc?
This would greatly help provide customers with reports because over time there are always changes on backups and we have to make sure we are on spot. To do this, we currently have to check our MSP console to get all the server names, then get a report from vsphere about the VMs running or not, then edit each and every backup job and navigate through the settings and get everything on a spreadsheet to start filling in all the details.
I know powershell can provide some info and if there is a chance to create scripts that do this and provide an output that could be utilized on a spreadsheet that would also be great.

Thank you.

Hello Dimitris,

Have you had a chance to review predefined Veeam ONE reports that can give you most of this information? These reports are just a few examples of what you can find in Veeam ONE: Job Configuration Change Tracking, Job Configuration Dump and Protected VMs Job Schedule

Let me know if that helps!
