Hello
During file recovery with keep option, Veeam will change the file name of the recovered file if there is already a file with the same name in the destination folder. It would be nice if the user could always change the filename, regardless of whether a file with the same name is in the destination folder and whether Veeam suggests a different filename. This allows you to make it clear that it is the restored file and also document, for example, when the backup from which this file originates is. It is not always possible to change the file name afterwards because the backup admin does not always have permission to access the target folder.

Re: feature request - file recovery with keep option
hi John
V12 will bring probably a feature called “restore to another location“.
That could help your feature request. Just restore the data to a dedicated restore folder. Your user can then move the required files to the target location or use it to compare with the production data.
