feature request for email after restore process

Post by frankive »

I think I have a prett good feature request this evening.. :)

We use VBR when we f.ex are migrating file shares from a server to another server. It is not always we can do the restore by datadisc so we have to work with shares during the restore with the "copy to" option during the restore.
I f we f.ex need to restore 15 different shares an evning (during a server migration) it would really be nice to get an email as soon as te restoreprocess is finished. Then we can log on to the server again to restore the next share and optimize the time and don't need to login to check the restore process all time (even though Veeam estimates the restore process prett nice though..)

Perhaps is this able to do with powershell today, but I would like to see a checkbox for this in the restore wizard (send email when restore process is finised).

What you think? :)

Hi Frank!
In general VBR sends notifications on the scheduled activities and doesn`t have one for manually started tasks.
Besides powershell, you can leverage Veeam ONE to get the notifications.
Thanks!

For customer not using Veeam One I think this still would be a good feature request :)

Agreed, the feature request is sane and will be taken into account.
Thank you!
