Feature Request: Force Backup Job Notification Emails
I'd like to request the feature to force a job completion notification, for the most recent results of a backup job.
I'm sure my company isn't the only company to use a third party service that manages these notifications and generates/closes tickets in their system.
Sometimes Veeam, for whatever reason, will fail to send the job completion notification to the third party system.
This will generally result in a ticket being generated.
It would be super handy to be able to log into veeam, select the job and have it resend the most recent job results.
Thus closing or creating a ticket.

Re: Feature Request: Force Backup Job Notification Emails
I think you're trying to approach the issue from a incorrect angle - the real problem here is job not triggering email notification. And this problem needs to be reviewed by our support team. Thanks!

Re: Feature Request: Force Backup Job Notification Emails
This perhaps falls into the same category of notification issues:
Job fails on the first attempt, automatic retry is kicking in, 2nd attempt is fine. Nonetheless Veeam already sends the fail notification after the 1st, failed attempt so our ticketing system will release a ticket. In the end we have a failed backup ticket which in the end was ok (after the 2nd attempt). This causes some confusion and also unnecessary time to research and close the ticket.

@DominicM
This behaviour is configurable already.
Use option „suppress notifications until the last job retry“

Re: Feature Request: Force Backup Job Notification Emails
If I'm not wrong this setting is existing for quit a while and it seems like my installation is ignoring it. As far as I remember it was one of the first settings I changed after default installation.
Since I optimized the jobs as much as possible I'm not facing the issue on a weekly basis anymore. So it's hard to tell if it's still happening with V10.
