Feature request: Grouping agents in console view
It would make things a bit easier if in the Jobs/Backup view of the console, Agents could all be grouped together. This view doesn't show individual VMs for HyperV/VMware jobs (I appreciate that they're all individual jobs, but when you're backing up hundreds of endpoints vs 10s of VMware or HyperV jobs, it makes the view messy).
The Agents are already grouped together in the Backups/Disk view - could the same be achieved for the Jobs/Backup view also?
Thanks !!

Wait, are you saying you're backing up "hundreds of endpoints" by configuring the job on each agent using the local UI?
If yes, this is crazy in that case, the above should be the smallest issue you have to deal with, really.
Why are you not using an agent job instead, like you do for your VMware and Hyper-V VMs?

Unfortunately we do (due to using the free agent ....). We've been trying for some time to get buy in for licences so we can PROPERLY manage the endpoint jobs, but it's a hard sell when the free version is doing its job (despite the manual config on each endpoint).

OK, thanks for clarification. Basically, to be blunt - what you're doing is sort of "abusing" (probably a bad word - but close enough) the ability to leverage free agents, which we never planned that customers will use for more than a handful of physical machines. Particularly due to the management overhead of the local UI making them too expensive to use at scale (in terms of backup admin's salary, comparing to the cost of a license),
While you're of course free to continue doing this, I am sure you will agree that it makes zero business sense for Veeam to keep enhancing user experience of "abusing" free agents, thus giving customers like yourself even less reasons to get licenses
