Feature Request: Improving VEEAM Console log

Post by Markus Doll »

Dear all,

i would highly appreciate, if skipped volumes would be listed in VEEAM Console log and not only in the VEEAM.log file.

Additionally, it would be great if a skipped volume would result into a "warning" state upon job completion.

An option would be nice to acknowledge those kind of warnings once and forever, for volumes that were skipped intentionally.

We just lost a bunch of data due to a corrupted B&R job definition, where the GUI displayed "All disks" for the backup scope but in fact 2 volumes were skipped.

Thanks!

Best,
Markus

Hi, Markus. Perhaps those volumes were skipped due to an unsupported disk types? In that case, you can find some big discussions on this forum were other users have been asking us NOT to log these warnings (because they are aware B&R cannot and will not process such disks and so they don't want to receive this warning constantly). Thanks!

Also, it might be worth running this Veeam ONE report from time to time to get an idea whether all VMs present in your infrastructure can be backed up successfully. Thanks.
