Feature Request: "[Failed]" jobs w/ all "Success" renamed.

Post by nd39475 »

Feature Request: "[Failed]" jobs email alerts w/ all status' that end up being "Success" should have the title renamed to something more appropriate, possibly "[Delayed]".

example: I have an email alert with subject "[Failed] Off Campus Windows 7 Workstations Backup Copy (8 VMs)", and all 8 VM's status is success. They were only failed temporarily, but ultimately ended with success. However, the email still reporting "failed" makes it much more difficult for automated email filtering. It would make more sense to to have a subject "[Delayed] ..." or "[Warning] ..."

Thank you, should it be in a future update 3 (B&R9)?

Under "General Options" - "Email Settings" there is an option "suppress notification until the last retry"
Is this not what you're looking for?

no sir, such was already set.

i guess my point is that i should not receive a [failed] email, if all the vm's end up as success.
