Feature Request - Latest Console should work within current VBR version

I have several VBR servers and do my best to keep the software up to date.
I have the VBR console on my admin workstation and it is annoying that after an upgrade, the latest console can not open the previous release VBR system that is not yet updated. I do understand that it is very difficult to support downward VBR releases with the latest console release, BUT the latest console version should at least be able to contact VBR servers within the same version.
Console 12.3.1 should be able to contact VBR 12.3.0
Even better, Console 12.3.1 should be able to contact VBR 12.x.x
But not <12
This is the error message: "Backup server has an earlier version (12.3.0.310) than this console (12.3.1.1139). Please logon to server locally and update it to the latest version using the local console, then try again"

We do not use Enterprise Manager.

I have support case 07642808 opened but they suggested to post Feature update here.

You are correct; at the moment, we require full version alignment between the backup server and the backup console. Supporting scenarios that deviate from this is quite challenging.

Nevertheless, thank you for your request — we’ll keep it in mind for the future product update.
